I've tested this issue on a couple of platforms first off I ran an old athlon x4 processor with a r7 250 and that gave the rainbow texture bug, when I upgraded the processor to a little less old Phenom x6 1055T clocked to 4 Ghz (same motherboard) I did not have the rainbow texture bug with the r7 250, then when I replaced the r7. The grass loads in a radius around your player even in vanilla. Its not as noticeable because it is brown and so. Problems with textures after update Fallout 4 Xbox One. PC PlayStation 4 PC. It seems areas that have more grass cause very blocky and rainbow textures. I went back to an even older save and the problem persists. Anyone have this problem and is there a way to fix it? Last night was the first time I noticed the glitch. It must be a mod.

Description : The intention is to add immersion, realism, and gives the player the idea that the plants and grass are reclaiming the land. Reason : I use this as a base file as it has so many texture alterations that lean towards a 'plants reclaiming the land' scenario. If you are looking for 'vanilla' appearance then try a texture optimization project as the base file instead of this one. |

Quite surprisingly, I can play the game on medium/high details with a good framerate, but I did notice that textures are not loaded properly at times. For instance it will load the textures near my starting point, but it will only load low res textures of nearby areas. I am not talking about LOD textures, just very low quality textures... Only fix this far has been quicksaving and quickloading. Reloading the area will fix it...locally. It will then show low res textures at some other place.
Now I did see a screenshot of the early leaks, where everything but a table was displayed in high res. Also, a German magazine was reporting that apparently there is a bug with texture loading and that it would ask Bethesda for further input.. Could it be that this is a bug? Or is it some kind of optimization for GPUs with too little VRAM?
